RFID Festival Wristbands & WEEE Registration in Germany
Due to their electronic components, RFID festival wristbands are subject to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Proper registration is required before such products can be placed on the market.
For commercial customers, this is also relevant when selecting a supplier: Electrical and electronic equipment from manufacturers that are not properly registered may not be offered for sale in Germany. Violations of certain registration and distribution requirements under the ElektroG can result in fines of up to 100,000 euros perincident.
Heliotextil complies with the registration requirements for the German market regarding its RFID festival wristbands.
This means you’ll be sourcing your RFID wristbands from an experienced manufacturer that not only handles production and assembly but also takes into account the regulatory requirements of the German market.
