Environmental policy

Heliotextil is committed to protecting the environment and treating natural resources with care and respect. This applies to both our production processes and our products.

The assessment of the environmental impact of our products begins as early as the development phase. Our aim is to go beyond the legal requirements to prevent environmental pollution or reduce it to an absolute minimum.

Environmental policy

For HELIOTEXTIL, acting responsibly has been second nature for many years. As a manufacturer of festival wristbands, lanyards, fabric labels, and other custom textile products, we are constantly exploring ways to make our materials, production processes, and products more sustainable.

We view sustainability as an ongoing process of development. While there isn’t yet an ideal solution for every product, we are constantly expanding our product line to include more environmentally friendly alternatives and exploring new materials and manufacturing options.

Sustainable Materials and Product Solutions

Depending on the application, we offer our customers a variety of sustainable material options. These include, among others, festival wristbands made from recycled polyester, hemp, or cork. While hemp and cork are primarily used for special applications and as natural eye-catchers, recycled polyester serves as a high-quality and durable alternative for many events.

Another more sustainable solution is our festival wristbands with an appliqué wooden clasp. The self-closing clasp is made of a hybrid of wood and plastic, which reduces the plastic content by about 50% compared to conventional clasps.

We also offer more environmentally friendly alternatives in the RFID sector. Our product line includes wooden chip tags as well as RFID cards made of wood or paper, which, depending on the application, serve as an alternative to traditional plastic cards.

Earth-Friendly – Sustainable Fabric Tags and Lanyards

With Earth-Friendly, we have created a product line that brings together more sustainable material alternatives for fabric labels and lanyards. Depending on the product, we use materials made from recycled plastics or renewable resources.

For example, our sustainable fabric labels are available in recycled polyester, organic cotton, or hemp. These materials enable our customers to make more conscious choices—even when it comes to small product components—without having to compromise on quality or functionality.

Our sustainable lanyards are also available in a variety of sustainable materials, including recycled polyester, cotton, hemp, and cork. They offer a durable alternative to conventional lanyards and expand the options available to companies and event organizers who prioritize more sustainable products.

Quality and Responsibility

For us, sustainability means more than just selecting the right materials. Equally important are durable products, the responsible use of resources, and the continuous improvement of our work processes.

For select products, we use materials certified under the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. This certification confirms that the textiles have been tested for harmful substances and meet defined human-ecological requirements.

Together with our suppliers, we are working to continuously improve materials and production processes. In doing so, we ensure that environmental considerations are taken into account just as much as quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.

Shaping Sustainability Together

More and more companies and event organizers want to make more sustainable choices. We support them by providing transparent information and a growing range of more environmentally friendly product alternatives.

In doing so, we are guided by the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They encourage us to incorporate environmental, social, and economic responsibility into our daily activities.

We are convinced that sustainable development consists of many individual steps. That is why we are constantly working to responsibly improve our product range, our processes, and our collaboration with customers and partners.
