Sponsoring Partner Buskers Bern

We have been supporting the festival for many years with various event products such as festival wristbands, lanyards, flags, and banners

Some partnerships grow over time, almost incidentally, into something very reliable. That’s certainly the case with Buskers Bern and Heliotextil. Their partnership has been in place since 2014.

Buskers Bern is one of Switzerland’s best-known street art festivals. For three days each summer, Bern’s Old Town becomes a stage for musicians, performers, acrobats, and street artists from all over the world. Around 70,000 visitors come each year to experience the festival.

We have been supporting the festival for many years with various products—primarily festival wristbands, but also lanyards, flags, and banners.

The festival wristband as part of the concept

Buskers Bern works a little differently than many other festivals. Admission to the festival grounds is free; there is no traditional ticket. Instead, visitors purchase a program booklet, which also includes the festival wristband.

This little book is not just a memento or souvenir. It is an important part of the funding plan. Your purchase directly supports the festival—and, by extension, everything that goes on behind the scenes to make the program possible in the first place.

The fact that we have been able to produce these little books for many years means a lot to us.

Lanyards for the program booklet

In addition to festival wristbands, lanyards have also been a staple of the festival scene for some time now.

They serve a very simple but practical purpose: they allow you to wear the program around your neck. This way, visitors always have the lineup, show times, and floor plan right at their fingertips.

Many people also take the lanyards home as souvenirs or buy them directly at the official festival shop.

The same applies here: Sales of festival merchandise help finance the festival and contribute to the artists’ fees.

How the collaboration has evolved

It all started in 2014 with a sponsorship partnership. Over the years, that has evolved into a collaboration that has become quite straightforward.

Today, both sides understand how the process works. Buskers Bern reliably receives the products it needs from us, and we are able to manufacture and deliver them in time for the festival.

For us, it’s also a valuable partnership because we can see where the products are actually used in the end—right in the heart of Bern’s Old Town, in direct contact with the public.

Multiple products, one point of contact

Over time, lanyards, flags, and banners have been added to the lineup alongside festival wristbands.

Instead of coordinating with various vendors, we handle a lot of it ourselves. This cuts down on back-and-forth communication and makes it easier to organize the festival. And when multiple products are ordered together, it often has an impact on the terms and conditions as well.

This is a real advantage, especially at a festival where everything is happening at the same time anyway and things often have to move quickly.

Conclusion

Our partnership with Buskers Bern has been ongoing since 2014. Many aspects of it have fallen into place, while others have simply expanded step by step.

Ultimately, it is precisely this combination of reliability and hassle-free coordination that defines the partnership—and that has led to several event products now being provided by a single source.

We are delighted to have been part of Buskers Bern for so long and look forward to the years ahead.
