What young fashion labels should look out for in woven labels.

Woven labels are one of the small details of a garment, but they have a big impact. For fashion labels, tailors and fashion manufacturers, they are an important part of the brand presentation and at the same time a practical information element for customers. Young brands in particular often underestimate how strongly a high-quality textile label can influence the perception of a product.
A well-designed woven label conveys the brand identity directly in the product. It shows the brand name or logo and ensures that an item of clothing can be clearly identified. It is not only the design that plays a role here, but also the legibility and quality of the workmanship. In many cases, a simple, clearly structured label looks better than an overloaded design. Many modern fashion labels therefore deliberately opt for reduced, timeless woven labels.
In addition to the brand effect, textile labels must also contain certain information. In many cases, this primarily includes the material composition of the fibers used. This information should be easy for consumers to read and permanently affixed to the product. In addition, clothing often also contains care instructions, size information or information on the country of origin. In practice, separate care labels are often used for this, while the woven label is primarily used for brand identification.
The material and processing of a label should also be chosen carefully. High-quality woven labels are characterized by a fine woven structure, long-lasting colors and good wash resistance. Damask woven labels are particularly popular, as they allow for very detailed images and are robust at the same time. Depending on the product, softer variants can also be useful so that the label remains comfortable to wear.
Last but not least, the placement in the garment plays a role. The woven label in the neck area, where it is immediately visible, is classic. Many brands also use small labels in the side seam or on the hem to make their brand recognizable from the outside. The decisive factor here is that the label neither disturbs nor impairs wearing comfort.
For young fashion labels, it is worth planning woven labels as an integral part of the product design at an early stage. A professionally designed and high-quality label not only ensures a clear brand identity, but also underlines the quality of the entire garment.
