Our recycling program is a key component of our sustainability strategy. We rely on the use of recycled polyester (rPET) particularly for festival wristbands. Compared to other materials, rPET offers an excellent energy balance. By using recycled polyester yarns, we can save about 60% more energy than when using the energy-efficient Oeko-Tex 100-certified material, even though transporting the materials requires additional energy.

During the event, collection points will be set up to collect festival wristbands and, where applicable, RFID chips. After the event, these materials will be shipped to us in Austria. Here, we separate the products into their individual components and either reuse, recycle, or properly dispose of them.

In particular, the recycling of materials such as rPET helps reduce plastic waste and CO2 emissions, as it decreases the need for new raw materials and closes the material cycle.

Another benefit of recycling is the reduction of environmental impact. By recycling festival wristbands, we can conserve valuable resources and significantly reduce the amount of waste. In addition, energy consumption is reduced, since recycled materials require less energy to produce than new raw materials. The entire recycling process thus contributes to more sustainable event organization, which is not only more environmentally friendly but also raises awareness of resource conservation and the circular economy.
